Movistar+ wins NHL broadcasting rights in Spain
The NHL, one of the world's major sports leagues, will once again be available on Movistar+ starting this week.

The platform has reached an agreement for the rights to broadcast this competition for its customers over the next few seasons.

The National Hockey League joins the platform's large portfolio of sporting competitions, meaning the best North American leagues can all be watched in the same place.

The broadcasting will kick off this week with the two games being shown in the early morning of Tuesday, January 11 and Thursday, January 13 on Movistar Deportes.

Movistar+ customers are in luck, especially fans of thrills and spills, as this week the NHL returns to Movistar+ thanks to an agreement reached between the two companies allowing the broadcast of the next competition cycle.

Ice hockey fans will have weekly access to two of the best games on Movistar Deportes (dial 53 and beyond), with further options in the playoffs where, starting in the 3rd round, all remaining games will be broadcast, including, of course, the Stanley Cup, which can be experienced live and in full.

Experts Moisés Molina and Josean Redondo will be heading up the team that will cover this competition, which will also include special reports on the #Vamos news programmes (the platform's exclusive channel).

The NHL completes the line up of the best North American leagues on Movistar+. These are competitions with a worldwide following and exponential growth in their number of fans in recent decades.

Four divisions where the 30 teams will fight for a place in the grand final and for the possibility of winning a trophy with more than 120 years of history. Tampa Bay is defending its title, although many others have already demonstrated their potential this season.

Movistar+ continues to be a key player in the growth and sustainability of sport, working on each project with leading partners worldwide. The agreement with the NHL is added to those of LaLiga and UEFA, more than 25 years of taking basketball to new heights with the acb and the NBA, access to all DAZN content for a year already, the great agreements with Discovery to broadcast tennis, the main events from the world of Gol, as well as the Eurosport partnership and the rise of a gentleman's sport: rugby.
